What's going on...

It's been some time since I last posted and much has been going on! I'll just post a few pics with a few comments to catch up, most especially for those that are usually around and aren't (the Ryan Wood family.) :)

Happy Father's Day! Here are the two most important people in my life. I knew when I married him that Paul was really the only man for me, what I didn't know that he was going to be the best father I could ask for. He adores Presley and shows it by caring for her when the going is good and when the going is not so smooth. He'll take her smiling and he'll take her bawling with the same calm demeanor.

We enjoyed spending most of Father's Day with the Petersen clan at a cabin in Heber. Nice weather, good food and great company made for a wonderful weekend.


This was just a couple of days ago. We got her this new little play mat and she seems to really like it. Aubry recommended it and it looks like a winner.

Presley Meg Petersen

She has arrived! Presley Meg Petersen was born on 4-8-08 at 7lbs 6oz and 19in. She's quite the scrawny little thing now; we can't get enough of her. These are just a few of the pics from the day of and after. Aubry, of Aubry Startin Photography, was gracious enough to get a few pics of her while she was still hours old. She also took some pics a couple of days ago that I'll post soon. She's quite talented and I'm grateful, because it's easy to see which ones she took and which ones I took. :)

Proud papa. This was taken the morning after and if he looks tired, imagine how I looked. There's a REALLY good reason that I am not featured in many of these pics. :) Ahh, the sacrifices we women make for our babies.

Mom and Lexi were the first to see Presley because they came up to our room at 1:30AM! Lexi had just gotten back from California and was leaving again and just had to see the Precious before she left. It was a special moment with Mom and sister.

First car ride home to Mama Lori's so I could recover with help. Upon arriving at Casa de Woods, I was greeted with a perfectly made up room, complete with fresh flowers (compliments of Ryan and Nicole), fresh bedding, infant sleeper...and ALL meals, on demand. It was truly an amazing time for Presley and I to get used to each other and get the hang of the whole nursing thing.
